1.) I liked to hear about how other students would use technology in their classrooms. I am not going to teach, but it was nice to hear about the importance of what we were learning in class. It was interesting to see the many creative ideas other students had in setting up technology in their classroom. It was interesting to see the different grade levels that the students would be teaching and what technology was appropriate for these age groups. I learned how beneficial the material we were learning in class was for future education.2.) I would like to learn about creating websites. This is something that interests me and we did not have enough time to cover it this semester. I think this is a very important tool to learn and can be very useful. This would allow people to present things that are very important to them and allow people to respond. It is important to spread the word on issues that have a lot of meaning to you. What easier way to do this then posting on the internet?3.)In the future I might look into other classes on computer and technology. There is so much to learn about technology that the material must divided up into different courses by related subjects. I could look into classes that would teach components addressed to specifically using the internet.
1)I don't really have much experience using twitter this semester. The only experience I have is creating an account the first day of class. I think that week I checked a couple of post regarding eme 2040. I didn't find twitter to be useful while I was in this course. If I was confused about something or had a question then I would just contact Ms. Kim via email. She would always respond back to me and we would arrange meeting times to discuss assignments I was unsure about.2.) I don't think that I am going to use twitter in the future. I am always in touch with friends and family by email, phone, or meetings. I don't find this website to be beneficial to myself. I am also not going to be teaching, but If I were I would not include twitter in the classroom. I rather just have students come to me if they are having problems. I don't want the students to have to get clarification from the other students. This is because I don't know whether another student is giving the correct information. The other student may think he/she knows what she is talking about, but they really are unclear on the subject. Then they would be spreading false information and making matters worse.3.) I don't think twitter is a good resource or educational tool. I think I explained why I feel this way in the above paragraph. Although, I could only see this website being beneficial to students if their professor was unavailable or hard to reach most of the times. I had no problem getting in touch with Ms. Kim this semester. Although, if she never responded back to my emails then I would want to use twitter to post questions and hope the students would respond back!!!
1) Once again I am not going to be a teacher. Although, If I was going to teach a certain grade level it would be first grade. If I were to use a web 2.0 tool, I think I would use Flickr with my students. This tool allows students to upload photos for projects and simply just for art. Flickr also gives you the option to highlight(or box in) a certain portion of the picture. Then you can comment or critique this sample of the picture. So, If there is something important I need to note then I can include my information around the selected portion of the picture. This would be an easy site for my students to use when analyzing important historical photographs. I am a visual learner and I like to incorporate a variety of art into my education. I would love to provide my students with this web 2.0 tool so they can enjoy photographs and learn at the same time. Like they say, "a photograph contains a 1,000 words." Here is the link to learn more about Flickr... http://www.solutionwatch.com/519/back-to-school-with-the-class-of-web-20-part-3/2) I think web 2.0 can be useful in the k12 educational levels. It depends on what grade level you are targeting and how you incorporate the material. The instructor needs to make sure he/she is clear on directions when teaching the students how to utilize the functions of web 2.0! If a student understands how to navigate web 2.0, then this tool should be a fun and educational experience. Also, the teacher can use web 2.0 sites to include along with lectures. This will allow the teacher to have a variety of different teaching methods. This will also prevent a student from getting bored and distracted. The student can be involved in a fun and interactive way.
1) If I were to be a teacher I think I would incorporate digital learning for my students. I would be teaching young children like first grade or second. Digital programs are very fun and interactive for young children. Children also love listening to stories. Instead of me haveing to read to them all of the time, I can switch it up by letting them watch the stories on a digital database. This would be interesting for the students to watch stories online instead of just hearing me read them. This prograw would be very interactive for the kids and I can post short quizzes at the end of the stories to may sure they were being attentive and listening. I think this would incorporate fun and learning at the same time!!!! http://www.edline.com/online_classroom_management_school_homework.html?gclid=CMbVp4K88qACFQ2dnAodayzpGw2)If I were to incorporate Excel into my teaching I most likely would use it when teaching many various subjects. Math is the subject that comes to mind first because of the equations we were taught the other day in class. Excel allows you to plug in equations to apply to a sample of problems and then it will initiate results for every different problem. This is very useful when you have multiple problems that you do not want to type in. All you have to do is type the equation and apply it to your problems as many times as you need to. You can also use Excel to create charts and graphs. I am a visual learner so I believe in using visual aides to assist in learning. I need to see something for me to connect the whole picture together. I can hear something verbally but, then I need something visual to reinfore what I just heard. I think having multiple ways to display the same thing will really project what you are trying to teach. Every student learns and processes information differently so one or more methods of teaching information is very resourceful to your students!!!
